GRINDING GRAIN. Found in Giza, Egypt, this figurine depicts an ancient Egyptian woman grinding grain. Dating to 2465–2323 B.C.E., the limestone figurine measures about 11 by 18 inches. Although the figure dates to the third millennium B.C.E., this type of work did not change very much over the millennia. It is on display at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
