NOT UNIQUE. If Hebrew were a holy language, one would expect it to be unique among the languages of the world, but it is not. It shares many similarities with Moabite and Phoenician. The 7.5-inch Pyrgi gold tablet (shown here) from the sixth–fifth century B.C.E. is an excellent example of the Phoenician script with its similarities to Hebrew.
