WELCOME. The main entrance on the southern wall of the synagogue, restored here, is placed as far east as possible to accommodate the imposing Torah Shrine inside to the west of the entrance. On the outside, the entrance opens onto a small platform that originally held four pillars; the remains of two can be seen in the above image.
