MEZUZOT FROM THE TEMPLE MOUNT. An original piece of a stone doorframe with mezuzot survives, embedded in the southern wall of Jerusalem’s Temple Mount on the left side of Triple Gate’s westernmost arch (see arrow above). Three recesses—or mezuzot—are carved into the Herodian stone.
