WHERE AT QEIYAFA? The Qeiyafa shrine model was found in Room G (marked above) of Building C10, located against the southern part of the city’s sturdy casemate wall. Building C10 showed other evidence of cultic activity, including a clay shrine model, basin, libation vessel, tabun (oven), high place, bench and drain—all found in the same room or a room away from the stone shrine model. These discoveries suggest that these rooms served a special, cultic purpose.
