Monumental gates at Gezer, Hazor and Megiddo are attributed by most scholars to King Solomon in the tenth century B.C.E. According to Israel Finkelstein’s “low chronology,” however, these gates were not constructed until the ninth century B.C.E. and were therefore not built by King Solomon.
