The fourth-century C.E mosaic from the Jewish synagogue at Hammath Tiberias offers a more naturalistic rendering of these same objects from the Beth Alpha synagogue (see photo): On either side of the gabled Ark appear, from left, an incense shovel and ram’s horn, a menorah, and a palm branch with citron attached.
