A model of Gamla includes the excavated synagogue, one of the earliest ever found. The synagogue in the model is slightly restored, with its columns re-erected to their original height. Note the heart-shaped columns in the far corners. The model’s reconstructed lintel is based on a lintel fragment found in the synagogue and on another fragment recovered in the excavations.
