Slumbering Chorazin. The synagogue lies partially exposed before the author’s recent excavation and reconstruction at the site. In the misty distance toward the south we see the Sea of Galilee, 900 feet below Chorazin. The large horizontal stone at the far (southern) end of the synagogue is the lintel of the center entrance to the building, now raised to its original location.
