Aquarius strides to his left, pouring water over his shoulder from a long-necked spouted jug. The Hebrew inscription deli (water pitcher) appears in the upper left corner, in mirror writing. Portions of the two other signs of Winter are visible on either side of the graceful and athletic Aquarius: to the left, the twisted hindquarters of the monster Capricorn; to the right, two fish swimming in opposite directions—the representation of Pisces. Winter, wearing a mantle for warmth, peeks up at all of them from the corner of the mosaic.
