Altar or massebah. Four feet long and three feet high, this massebah or stone altar was the center of an Israelite cultic site after the Exodus. Near this “standing stone,” the bull figurine was found. In the same area, archaeologists uncovered a folded bronze sheet that may have been an Egyptian style mirror and a squared pottery fragment that may have been the corner of an incense burner.
