Ridge in northern Samaria where an Israelite cult site was uncovered. No evidence of a permanent occupation was found here, but the site proved to be at the center of a number of tiny Iron Age I (1200 B.C.) settlements. The open-air cult site atop this ridge probably served the people of these small settlements, who were very likely Israelites of the tribe of Manasseh.
