and some said “John the Baptizer has been raised from the dead; that is why these powers are at work in him.” (15) But others said, “It is Elijah.” And others said, “It is a prophet, like one of the prophets.” (16) Hearing, Herod said, | of all that was done and he was perplexed for it was said by some that John had been raised from the dead; (8) by others that Elijah had appeared and by others that one of the old prophets had risen.
