Congratulations to actor Harrison Ford for his recent election to the governing board of the Archaeological Institute of America (AIA) in May 2008.
The actor is perhaps best known for his movie role as the swashbuckling archaeologist Indiana Jones. The AIA announcement came one week before the release of his latest movie, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
According to C. Brian Rose, president of the AIA, “Harrison Ford has played a significant role in stimulating the public’s interest in archaeological exploration.”
