Reunited, and it’s understood. Fragments discovered by the Dig-for-a-Day project at Maresha have been rejoined with the so-called Heliodoros stela already on loan to the Israel Museum. Although the stela was an unprovenanced artifact from the antiquities market, the new pieces secure its authenticity, provide an archaeological context and continue the text of the inscription that describes the lead-up to the Maccabean revolt.
