The siege of Lachish. This panel from the wall relief from the palace of Sennacherib at Nineveh shows the king enthroned, watching a display of captives and booty from Lachish. Scholars have suggested that the palace room in which these reliefs were displayed was used to showcase the goods seized from the city.
