The older “lower tunnel” of the Warren’s Shaft water system led to the “water chamber” at the bottom of Warren’s Shaft. A dam of unknown date, at center, blocks the entrance to the water chamber and remains intact to a height of about 4.5 feet. Hezekiah’s tunnel begins around the corner on the left.
