Miriam and Theo Siebenberg stand in the cavernous excavation beneath their house in Jerusalem’s Old City. In the search for those who preceded them, the Siebenbergs found a First Temple tomb on the bedrock level where Theo stands and part of the stone construction of a Second Temple mansion to Miriam’s left, above. The Siebenbergs’ dream is to convert their house and the excavation beneath it into a museum where visitors can share their discoveries.
