Anson Rainey (“Inside, Outside,” and “Shasu or Habiru,”) is Emeritus Professor of Ancient Near Eastern Cultures and Semitic Linguistics at Tel Aviv University. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has authored and edited innumerable books and articles on the cultures, languages and geography of the Biblical lands, including the 2005 atlas The Sacred Bridge (Carta), co-edited by Steven Notley.

Steve Mason (“Did the Essenes Write the Dead Sea Scrolls?”) is professor of history and graduate humanities at York University. He is one of the world’s leading authorities on the works of Josephus and their historical context, as well as editor of the world’s first complete commentary and English translation of the works of Josephus.
